VERBODEN 2025: THAT’S A WRAP!
Thank you to everyone who was part of the Verboden 2025 Music Festival—a beautiful, shambling fever dream of a festival that wouldn’t have been possible without the audiences and artists coming together for four days of community, friendship, and music.
Lastly, not enough can be said about the team of volunteers and their boundless dedication to everyone who participates in the music community. They worked tirelessly throughout the festival, meeting challenges above and beyond the call of duty—some putting in 14-hour days—always with the intention of supporting the artists and community members who make the festival possible.

Verboden 2025: Canada’s premier Darkwave festival is back with 40+ artists & DJs over 4 nights in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia!
The eighth edition of Verboden, Canada’s premier Darkwave music festival, is set to unfold in 2025. Over the course of four evenings, the festival will showcase a diverse array of more than 40 artists and DJs at The Cobalt Cabaret and once again returning to The Astoria for two nights of dual-stage action.
Set against the backdrop of the supernatural metropolis of Vancouver, British Columbia, this iteration promises a spectacular lineup of local and international artists. We look forward to seeing you this upcoming May for an unforgettable convergence of darkwave music and community!
